Congratulations Calla and Kyle!! You did it! You did the hard work and have the degrees to prove it 🙌🏻
We are so proud of you guys! We pray so many blessings for you both as you start your next adventure...the next biggest one being a wedding!! So many exciting, life-changing things are happening for you both in such a short amount of time. I pray God grants you peace of mind and heart to handle the stress, open eyes to soak it all in and wisdom to make all the right decisions as you set up your life together for your next big chapter! I'm so thankful I get to document such exciting memories for you both!
Harding University -- Searcy, Arkansas
It was so fun for me and Jacob to see our alma-mater for the first time in 13 years! (wow, I feel old! 😂) The kids loved seeing where mommy and daddy went to school, where we used to live, where we dated and got engaged, and where our first apartment was after we got married. Jacob even bought me and ring pop and we reenacted our proposal with our kids! We had so much fun! If I had been given a glimpse into the future when he asked me to marry him with all the beauty and struggle and growth and love and change we would face, I would without question still say yes a thousand times over! I would have never imaged I would be standing there 15 years later with three kids of our own.
Here is a peek at the fun we had this weekend in Searcy, Arkansas.
(Oh those sweet tearful hugs from your mama at any big moment in life 🥺)
(and I, of course, had to get some photos of our kiddos and family while we were there 🥰)
Oh, what would that 17 year old girl think of me now when she just started dating this really cute college guy? Or the 18 year old girl who got dropped off under this arch 17 years ago 10 hours from home, so scared and completely unsure what she wanted to do with her life? Or the 19 year old girl who said yes to forever with this guy when she had no idea what forever would hold? Or the 20 year old girl who would graduate a newly-wed leaving this arch and these school grounds for a brand new city with no idea how things would turn out?
...I think she would say, "Wow...God is so good!" Through the blessing and the struggle, God is so good!
Calla and Kyle, may God bless you with many opportunities along the way for moments like this, where you get to stop the chaos of life for just a moment to see just how far you've really come and how faithful God has been every step of the way! Much love to you both!!
