Calla + Senior Year

“What lies behind us, and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Calla…my sweet, sweet sister. This girl is something else! Authentic and passionate, fun and crazy, empathetic and thoughtful, and filled to the brim with a love for God. I can’t believe this sweet girl is a senior this year! Just yesterday, you were 5 years old in ballet class wearing tutus and dancing around the room…now you are dancing your way into your senior year of high school with a heart full of joy and a new, exciting chapter right around the corner! Your love for the elderly, little kids, ice cream, puppy dogs, and adorable cows (yes, I said cows) and your passion for God and family makes you one of the most interesting people I know. You add so much value to the lives of the people around you. I love watching you play with our boys, driving around with you with the radio too loud and laughing til we cry, watching you pick on your big brothers, and invest so much love and attention into the beautiful relationship you have with your parents. It’s been beautiful to watch you grow from a shy little girl into a strong, beautiful woman inside and out. As you make this huge transition from childhood to adulthood, remember the words of Winnie the Pooh, “You are braver that you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think” and I can’t wait to see where this life takes you, all the things you will accomplish and all the hearts you will touch in this life.

Love always,
